Got Mik?

Geradine, Kelvin et moi went to the opening of Singapore's Arts Festival at Boat Quay last week. It was so packed. As kiasu as Singaporeans could be, they started 'chopping' seats more than an hour before the show commences. We stood throughout the whole show. Furthermore, it was super humid that day!! I wana die in my pair of jeans.

Water Fools is a musical play by a French troop, staged on Singapore River. Typical French. Haha I am a sucker for anything French. J'adore! I am especially mesmerised by the music. It was as though I was in a huge musical box. Don't we all love musical box when we were very young..?

The elaborate costumes, the floating gigantic bed with fluffy pillows, the cartoonic taxi driving on water, the long boat that gave out fireworks, the red dressed-queen on top of this huge wheel.. so much so much more. Simply magical.. All the fantasies seemed to come true even when you are already 24! hahaha.

Last but not least, the fireworks were awesome! It may not be as extravagant as NDP but I love this more. Perhaps it was because I didn't expect fireworks in the first place. It started like some flower buds shooting into the sky. And then it blossomed until the night was a bed of colouful flowers.









The night was still young when the play ended. We made it in time for DblO's 10th anniversary. Alaina was already having a crazy time with her pals. Haha coincidentally enough, Jacek and Wanyi were there too. Surprisingly, Woon Lea, Philip were together with Dickson too!

Well the night was short. Cause when I drink, I erm, sleep....
